On March 28, 2008, Senator Bob Casey (D) of Pennsylvania was one of the first big name politicians to support then Sen. Barak Obama in his bid to become the 44th President of the United States. As these political soulmates served together in the Senate they developed a very close personal friendship which continues today.
So then why is Senator Casey calling out President Obama and his $1.9 Billion Clean Energy Grant? Because over 80% of the money paid out has gone to foreign countries; namely China. This money was supposed to create opportunities in the United States, where 8.4 million jobs have been lost recently, not China. “We can’t allow this to happen”, said Casey to On the Record with Greta Van Susteren. Senator Casey is asking the treasury Department to stop the disbursement of these funds.
One must wonder how much more of the $780 Billion Stimulus package has been given to foreign governments rather than being used right here at home to create jobs for 10% of all working Americans currently unemployed.
[...] Rather than giving their money away to foreign nations? [...]
