Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell (D)

On the Bill Press Show, Pennsylvania’s Governor Chief Clown Ed Rendell Chuckles spread his mirth and humor.  While discussing the Tea Party, Rendell Bozo stated emphatically that Tea Party is over-hyped and that their rallies only draw 1,000-1,500 protestors.  Rendell Clowney also challenged that  he could have 100,000 protestors on the lawn of the Capital in Washington D.C. to protect puppies. 

Back it up Rendell Fat Boy! 

Sunday, May 2, 2010 I want to see 100,000 people like-minded clowns at the Mall showing their support of Protecting Puppies. 

If you cannot, then shut the pie-hole funny man.

Hide the little ones, cover grandma’s ears, Joe “Big #@%&ing Deal” Biden is coming to Cambria County.  The human gaffe machine is coming to Western Pennsylvania to stump for Jack Murtha’s former leggman and current Congressional candidate Mark Critz. 

The PA-12 race is already getting a fair amount of national attention and what better way to bring  more than to have our Foul-Mouthed Vice President campaigning for a congressional candidate that has a few moral idiosyncracies of his own; that is if you consider soliciting Government subsidized jobs for the company you manage while also working for a well-connected, pork attracting congressman.  Not to mention the Ethics Investigations. 

Oh, and then “forgetting” to pay the company’s state taxes while managing soliciting its money. 

Talk about a “no-brainer”, if you go to this event you will get to see two.

Tears of a Clown.

Governor Chuckles (some call him Ed Rendell, I do not) ended his workday in tears today when the Federal Highway Administration rejected Pennsylvania’s plan to charge tolls on I-80.  Always scheming for more of your dollars, Chuckles’ plan was to “raise revenue” (read; tax drivers) from drivers by charging a toll on a road that was paid for with your federal tax dollars.  It’s just like our Clown of a Governor to try to charge drivers twice (since it was Federal tax dollars that paid for the road in the first place), so that he can make up for his own poor budget planning.  He knows that the Republicans will not let him raise taxes, so he has to cut, cut, cut, from the budget. 

This is a big victory for Pennsylvania taxpayers, a temporary setback for the Clown’s money grubbing ambitions. 

Boo hoo, Clowney, boo hoo! 

Keep you grubby clown fingers of out money Chuckles.  Fortunately your time is running out.

Eddie Chuckles  is the clown persona that we have seen much of these last few years.  Big shoes, dopey countenance and the aw shucks grin that he gives as he reaches for your paycheck.  Year after year Governor Clown has taken more and more money to the point where Pennsylvania has the second highest business tax rate and 36th highest personal tax rate in the nation.

In 2007, 2008 the state saw extended budget impasses; the Clown wanted even higher taxes, but the State Legislature pushed back.  2009 was so bad that Pennsylvania embarassingly went over 100 days without an agreed upon fiscal plan.

Now, Chuckles is $500 million short so he is at it again.  Since the happy face has not been working on the people of Pennsylvania or its Legislature, Rendell has attempted a more circuitous route to your wallet.  Attempting the old reach-around trick, Eddie the Sad Hobo has thrown himself on the ground, crying, whining and begging  to President Obama for more of your tax dollars through the Federal Government. 

“Gimme, gimme, gimme, the Legislature keeps thwarting my tax grabs and there are bills to pay, whine, whine, whine.”  Here’s an idea Governor Clown, less spending and lower taxes.  Maybe some of our college students will remain in state, maybe some of our business will keep their doors open and hire new employees, maybe Pennsylvania can rank 2nd in job creation rather than job taxation.

Ugh, how much longer is this clown in office?

Governor Rendell of Pennsylvania, along with other governors in states such as MI, ME, HI, NM, SD and WA, are planning new taxes to cover state budget shortfalls.  One area that the desire to tax is services provided, including; Clown Entertainment.     

If you know very much about me, you know that I am an ardent tax opponent, but I for one am strongly behind this tax.     

Any tax, fine or fee that punishes that Clown in Harrisburg Ed Rendell, more than it does the average Pennsylvanian, is a tax that I can get behind.

Mark Critz (D)

Within moments of receiving the Republican nomination for the special election in Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional district, Tim Burns (R) was  attacked by the DCCC and Pennsylvania Democrats.  In a news release prepared long before the conferee the final vote was known, the Democrats reach back to the standard tactic of class warfare, labeling Tim Burns as a businessman who “no concern for job loss in Western Pennsylvania.”

Which is an interesting tactic for the Democrats to take considering that their candidate, Mark Critz, has several issues that Democrats themselves  have been hammering him on for the past few weeks.  In 2005, Critz was involved in several earmark project meetings which proved to be a dangerous mix of inappropriate lobbying and congressional interests and which have since led, so far, to criminal convictions for 3 men. 

Critz’s previous private sector experience has also come under fire from Democrats.  While acting as the Business Manager and Bookeeper for Parkins Inc., a Johnstown-based company that did work for the state Department of Transportation, the company ran afoul of tax law running up $127,000 in state tax violations.  In addition, Critz was working  at Parkins while he was also working for Congressman Murtha, which has raised questions of impropriety as well.

Democrat insiders believe that Critz’s various problems taint him so bad as to make him unelectable in the conservative 12th Congressional District.  Even as late as the night before the committee ruled, insiders were saying that it was, “very unlikely, incredibly unlikely” that Critz would be handed the nomination.  The following day, it was Critz’s ability to quickly and sufficiently raise significant campaign funds that led to his nomination.

The old saying goes, “people who live in glass houses should not throw stones”, so then why would Critz and the DCCC begin throwing stones just minutes after the nomination.  It seems that the Democrats are very afraid of Tim Burns.

So then why is Senator Casey calling out President Obama and his $1.9 Billion Clean Energy Grant?  Because over 80% of the money paid out has gone to foreign countries; namely China.  This money was supposed to create opportunities in the United States, where 8.4 million jobs have been lost recently, not China.  “We can’t allow this to happen”, said Casey to On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.  Senator Casey is asking the treasury Department to stop the disbursement of these funds.

One must wonder how much more of the $780 Billion Stimulus package has been given to foreign governments rather than being used right here at home to create jobs for 10% of all working Americans currently unemployed.

Now we find out that one of the many enemies that Dan Onorato has made over his 18 year political career has begun a rather unflattering Blog about the Allegheny County Commissioner.  Dan’s Land of Make Believe parodies Onorato as Pittsburgh’s own Mr. Rodgers and sarcastically lists the top 10 reasons (there are actually 13) why Dan should be Governor.  Well, the opponents of the Allegheny County Drink Tax did say that he would pay for his actions.

2010 shapes up to be a very interesting year politically, especially in Pennsylvania.

Take for instance “Urban Agriculture”.  City of Pittsburgh residents, whether to reduce food costs or to eat more organically, have taken to raising chickens, tending beehives or growing small gardens on their property.  As soon as Mayor Luke heard about this new trend he came looking for money.  My bad, it was not the Mayor himself (he was skiing or celebrating Mardi Gras or something), but his office.  Joanna Doven, the Mayor’s spokeswoman said;

“Anytime you see something growing and expanding and there are no rules, you need to regulate it,”

And of course by regulate it she means to charge  the Urban Agriculturists a $300 fee (per garden, hive or coop).  Instead of saving a few dollars and enjoying fresh, organic products, these “farmers” wind up having to pay more for their food than everyone else in the city.  Somehow that just does not sound fair.

Please Mayor Luke, get your financial house in order and leave these small-scale farmers alone.

In the midst of this crisis, the federal government is stepping in to protect us.  A joint task force is being formed between the Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to study Global Warming.

Yes, you read that correctly and no I am not making this up.  Amidst record snowfall and below freezing temperatures, the Obama administration wants to not just study, but has set up an entire governmental department to protect us from the effects of global warming.  No wonder our national debt continues to grow about $4 billion a day.

Former President Ronald Reagan once said that the most terrifying phrase in the english language is, “We are from the government and we are here to help.”  Please President Obama, if you really want to help us, just leave us alone.
